We are really pleased to announce that our new guitar repair workshop in Leeds openend at The Chapel Works on Stocks Street, LS7 2AU.
Is this repair shop insured in the event that my guitar is damaged or stolen whilst in their care?
Facebook Heroes (and Villains)
Choosing who to trust with your instrument is a difficult job. Since the Covid-19 pandemic there has seen an increase in people advertising ‘Guitar Repairs’ on places like Facebook Marketplace. These overnight repairers appear to be repairing from their bedrooms, yet offer luring prices. But are they legit?
There are legitimate companies that do use Facebook and other places to advertise (we do – it’s really good for connecting with people like you), yet the question remains, what happens if the repairer you choose does not have insurance?
Having Confidence in Your Guitar Repairer.
When choosing a guitar repair shop, the first question you should ask is “Are you insured if my instrument is damaged or stolen whilst in your care?”. If the answer is “No”, then walk away.

Leeds guitarists will be able to drop their guitar repairs in during opening hours as follows:
Monday – Friday 11.00 – 18.00
Saturday 11.00 – 15.00
You can also contact us by telephone on 0113 318 0447 or email info@ackworthguitarsetups.co.uk to discuss your repair needs before drop off.
